Atholl is skilled in building safe and supportive connections with clients as the foundation for therapeutic work; warmth, gentleness, compassion and being client-focused are important elements of his practice. He seeks to support clients to develop deeper understandings of their needs and goals and comes to psychology with a diverse range of experiences including government, not-for-profit and private practice organisations, providing education, leadership, crisis support and short- and longer-term therapeutic care. He has also undertaken extensive research exploring men’s experiences of intimacy.
